BeYonder is a profit for purpose, living wage employer and supporter of the Scottish Business Pledge.

Be Better, Be You, BeYonderDuring the COVID-19 emergency “Stay at Home” instruction from UK and Scots Goverments our main office and production facility in Glasgow will remain closed. We have enabled limited home-working capability for key client projects and are still operating Circular Economy and Textile consultancy via conference call.

Our main effort during the crisis is to support a collective of regional businesses and organisations producing essential PPE (personal protective equipment) for our health & care workers on the frontline in Glasgow and surrounding areas.

The following videos from This Is Makers will give you some idea of this collaborative product development in action:

  • Prototyping
  • Sampling and Tech Pack Production
  • Dedicated Production Capability from single items to volume contracts.

Now based in modern design suites near Glasgow’s City Centre we are building on the strong foundations laid at our first production hub featured on Make Works :

Every business has its own, “How long is a piece of string?” question. For us it is, “How much will it cost to make [item]?”  Once we know how long each item takes to make, what fabric(s) and haberdashery items are to be used and what time-scale the project has to be delivered in we can be accurate to a few pence.

Getting to this point is where the magic really happens in our industry; the skill of designing, protyping and sampling to create the technical pack which will minimise final production costs regardless of whether that production is one item or many thousands of items.

As a rough rule of thumb, the further along you are on the spectrum shown at the top of this page, the less it will cost to get to the finished product. But don’t worry if you are only at Initial Concept stage, our expert team will guide you every step of the way and share the journey with you.  For more info, please use our Contact Form.
